Switching colleges, financial aid question?

You can still qualify for federal grants while paying back your student loans, the only time you are not eligible is if your loan is defaulted (more than 270 days late, that's 9 months), but remember you have to maintain at least a 2.0 GPA and remain above half-time (6 credit hours) in order to receive your aid.
