Can you tell by a mans eyes if he fancies you?

I had an appointment with a top hospital consultant yesterday. I found him really attrative. We had a long discussion and i felt his eyes really focused on me when we were discussing this issue, i mean really brown and twinkling and gorgous. Can you tell by a mans eyes if he fancies you? I'm 39
