Does anyone know the functionality difference between the direct TV HD DVR and Tivo?

I have used Tivo for almost 7 years and enjoy the functionality but have had it with Comcast. Currently Tivo doesn't interface with Direct TV. I would like to know if any one has experience with the functionality of Direct TV's High Definition DVR vs High Definition Tivo functionality.
