Is Hip Hop of the Devil?

I think rap started because some people wanted to be singing stars but couldn't actually sing. I suspect that it is generally very base because of the inherent success ociated with appealing to the lowest common denominator. While it may be one of the lowest forms of "music", I do not think it is of the devil.
