Is it worth it to endure the years it takes to become a Doctor?
Being a doctor in America is an extreamly messy buisness to say the least: You can spend up to 5 years getting a full qualifcation in medicine, which is 200 thousand dollars. You then have to spend about a year vocatio before being fully quallified and then theres a mive chance you wont get employed unless you did exceptionally well at university. You could repay your debts by age 38 if you were paid standard wage of 60 k a year fully qualifed specilist(a cardiologist as you said). Otherwise I really wouldn't bother. i was in debt as a consultant for nearly 3 years and only began making good money at 27.
