Can I use washing up water on the garden even though it contains salt from the water softener ?

The nurseries and water softener companies advise against this, but some plants are more tolerant than others as to salt. NEVER use this water on, say, Venus Fly Traps...would kill them with one watering. As for your garden plants, try it ...if no damage, no big deal. GW
